Getting started

Cash Runway turns your Xero data into a 13-week rolling cash forecast. This section walks you through the three steps from landing on the site to looking at your first forecast.

You should be able to finish all three in under ten minutes, including the Xero sync.

The three steps

1. Sign up — join the waitlist (during invite-only launch) or create an account directly (once open signup is enabled). Every account starts with a 14-day free trial.
2. Connect Xero — authorise Cash Runway to read from your Xero organisation. The initial sync pulls 90 days of bank transactions plus unpaid invoices and bills.
3. Your first forecast — read the 13-week timeline, switch between the Base, Best, and Worst scenarios, and get oriented on the dashboard.

What you need before you start

• A Xero organisation you can log into.
• Admin-level access on that organisation (Cash Runway needs the standard accounting scopes, which only admins can consent to).
• A business email address for the Cash Runway account.

No credit card required

The 14-day trial puts you on the Wallet plan with full access to the app and the agentic API — no card up-front. You can add billing later from Settings → Account → Billing.
